Hi, I'm Katy Donahue and this is my 14th year at Vaughn! I look forward to another great school year with students, parents, and staff. I enjoy teaching students all the skills they need to have successful academic, social, and emotional pursuits. When I am not a Vaughn I love to travel to historical sites, read novels and spend time laughing with my family and loved ones. I especially enjoy being with my spunky six year old daughter, sweet two year old son, and terrific husband on Colorado weekend getaways. But, my favorite part of any day comes at the end when I snuggle with my kids to read and discuss storybooks. I encourage all families to read and learn together!
Hola ¡Soy Katy Donahue y este es mi 14 año en Vaughn! Espero con ansias otro gran año escolar con estudiantes, padres y el personal. Disfruto enseñando a los estudiantes todas las habilidades que necesitan para que tengan exito en las actividades académicas, sociales y emocionales. Cuando no estoy en Vaughn, me encanta viajar a sitios históricos, leer novelas y pasar tiempo riéndome con mi familia y mis seres queridos. Disfruto especialmente estar con mi valiente hijade seis años, mi dulce hijo de dos años y mi excelente esposo disfrutando escaparnos los fin de semana en viajes por Colorado. Pero, mi parte favorita de cualquier día llega al final cuando me acurruco con mis hijos para leer y discutir libros de cuentos. Animo a todas las familias a leer y aprender juntos.

Hello Families! I am so excited to meet all of you and look forward to working with your child as they continue to learn and grow! I have been teaching for over 20 years and have personally taught at Vaughn for the past fifteen. I really enjoy teaching and love working with children. I just LOVE the energy and excitement they bring to the classroom. I also love spending time with my wonderful family. I am blessed with an amazing husband, a 20-year-old son…who I am very proud of, a sweet puppy, and three spirited kitty-cats. My family enjoys traveling, skiing, watching movies and spending time with our friends and family.

He estado enseñando durante más de 20 años y personalmente he enseñado en Vaughn durante los últimos quince. Realmente disfruto enseñando y amo trabajar con niños. ME ENCANTA la energía y la emoción que traen al salon. También me encanta pasar tiempo con mi maravillosa familia. Tengo la suerte de tener un marido increíble, un hijo de 20 años ... del que estoy muy orgulloso, un dulce perro y tres gatitos enérgicos. A mi familia le gusta viajar, esquiar, ver películas y pasar tiempo con nuestros amigos y familiares.
