Hi! My name is Maya Williams. I'm from Guatemala and have lived in Colorado since 2006. I love hiking with my husband and two furry daughters.
I am the Family Literacy Instructor for Vaughn's wonderful parents! Family Literacy is a unique two-generational approach to literacy focusing on parents as their children's first and most valuable teacher. In teaching Vaughn's non-native parents English, I give them tools, techniques and strategies to support their child's learning.
This will be my third year at Vaughn and I look forward to helping parents with their English so they can grow as valuable members of their family and community.
